The Grass Valley™ K2 Summit™ is a high-performance, multi-format platform that can be configured to address a wide variety of markets and applications. The flexibility of the platform enables special purpose configurations to be offered with specific capabilities at a cost-effective price. The K2 Summit Transmission client is specially design to work with external direct connects storage or with shared storage on the K2 SAN. It supports DV and MPEG-2 bit rates of up to 50 Mb/s, which satisfies the majority of the world’s need for high-quality SD or HD play-out. Models can support SD or HD/SD with two bi-directional channels and two play-out channels, provides a variety of configuration options including two record and two play-out to four play-out only.
