AmpliVox Sound Systems has introduced a new upgraded version of its popular
Half-Mile Hailer sound systems, designed to fulfill general public address
applications in spaces without an existing PA. The new Mega Hailer 680 Mobile PA features an upgraded appearance for
indoor or outdoor use, with an attractive weatherproof enclosed housing and
greatly enhanced sound fidelity and coverage. Totally portable and extremely
durable, the Mega Hailer can be set up in moments for sports venues, outdoor
events, emergency responses, and a wide variety of other uses.
The Mega
Hailer is a wireless, battery-powered loudspeaker system that broadcasts highly
intelligible voice announcements with 50 watts of amplifier power. The compact
Mega Hailer unit contains a 50-watt amp, projecting sound for up to half a mile
from an enclosed horn speaker. The horizontally aligned horn reinforces sound
to make it louder and more intelligible for spectators and participants over
large, wide areas. The system accommodates up to four customizable modules,
including options to support wireless microphones, wireless external speakers,
and Bluetooth streaming from
external devices. All components are housed in a weather-resistant enclosure
constructed of heavy duty plastic, with a built-in handle and removable
shoulder strap for easy carrying.
The Mega
Hailer sets up in seconds and runs for up to 10 hours of operation on rechargeable
SLA or optional NiCad batteries. The extended battery life is especially
important in emergency situations where power may be cut off, allowing response
teams to communicate instructions to large groups clearly and effectively.
