Twickenham, UK - Autoscript, the world's leading teleprompting company and a Vitec Group brand, will make its movie debut in front of the camera rather than in its usual place behind the scenes, when Morning Glory is released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 21 January 2011.
The film, which sees an ambitious TV producer tasked with revitalizing a struggling morning show named Daybreak, stars Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton and Rachel McAdams, and is directed by Roger Michel (Notting Hill, Venus) and distributed by Paramount Pictures.
Autoscript was approached by the film makers in early 2010 to provide authentic prompting solutions to equip the Daybreak studio. Three LED TFT 17” on-camera units were provided, with W19 Talent Monitors, WinPlus prompting software, controllers and the Tally Plus camera number system. The units were fully working and supported on set, with realistic scripts to ensure authenticity on screen.
Brian Larter, Managing Director, Autoscript, said, ”We’re no strangers to studio situations but this was something else. It’s not often that Autoscript equipment is seen on screen, so to do it in the company of Indiana Jones and Annie Hall is rather special!”
Autoscript’s next public appearances will be at CABSAT 2011, Dubai(Stand S3-B41) and Broadcast Video Expo 2011 (Stand I30), where it will be wearing dark glasses and avoiding autograph hunters.
