AmpliVox Sound
Systems will send its top-quality sound equipment across the country with a
unique project that supports the children of fallen military, fire department,
and law enforcement personnel. The “Double Dog” Jeep Project, created by the
non-profit America’s Children of Fallen Heroes, will send a one-of-a-kind
customized Jeep to auto shows and special events across the US to collect
expressions of appreciation and raise awareness of the challenges faced by
survivor families. AmpliVox will proudly donate its SW312 Wireless Sound
Cruiser to equip the Double Dog Jeep with sound broadcast capability wherever
it goes.
America’s
Children of Fallen Heroes focuses on the needs of children who have lost a
parent in public service. Formed in October 2000 as Children of Fallen
Soldiers, the organization expanded its name and mission to serve children of
firefighters and law enforcement officers as well as military families. Support
efforts include the Dream Development Project, a 10-year commitment to these
young people to empower them to clarify, build, live, and create a legacy from
their dreams. The organization also collects written and videotaped Expressions
of Appreciation from eventgoers, short messages of encouragement and thanks for
the sacrifice made by their loved ones. These statements will be published in a
book entitled On Behalf of a Grateful
Nation, and will be included in a formal memorial.
The Double
Dog Jeep Project will take to the road in 2016 with a schedule that will reach
over a quarter million event participants. Outfitted with inspiring patriotic
graphics, the Double Dog Jeep will have a roof-mounted SW312 Sound Cruiser
system donated by AmpliVox. The Sound Cruiser’s 50-watt amplifier and dual horn
speakers can cover venues the size of a football field and audiences of up to
3000 people. The system includes a 16-channel UHF receiver, wireless headset
and lapel microphones, and a body pack transmitter. The unit is powered via an
included DC car adapter.
“The Double
Dog Project takes its name from the leap of faith it takes to face challenges
head-on; we “double dog dare” our youth to allow their adversities to forge the
greatness that lies within them,” explains Chaplain Timothy “TIG” Heaslet II,
CGSE, of America’s Children of Fallen Heroes. “We are extremely grateful to
AmpliVox and our other sponsors for helping us spread our message in this
exciting project.”
“AmpliVox is
honored to support the Children of Fallen Heroes through the Double Dog Jeep
Project,” noted Don Roth, AmpliVox CEO. “The families of our military and first
responders deserve all our respect and gratitude. Our Sound Cruiser system will
help this worthwhile organization raise awareness in a very effective and
meaningful way.”

appreciation for youth who have lost a parent in military, law enforcement, or
firefighting service.
