AmpliVox Supports the YMCA with "Speak Up for America" Program
Posted on Monday, April 11, 2011
AmpliVox Supports the YMCA with As part of its “Speak Up For America!” public service initiative, AmpliVox Sound Systems today announced a commitment to support the North Suburban YMCA and its local youth programming and services. To launch this commitment, AmpliVox will donate $15 to the NSYMCA for every megaphone sold between now and December 31, 2011. AmpliVox CEO Don Roth became personally involved with the North Suburban YMCA as a Board member over the last several years. “We support the wide range of community services provided by the Y,” said Roth. “AmpliVox is speaking up for all the teachers, community members and volunteers who encourage and inspire kids at the Y every day. This is a grassroots effort to support the Y’s work in the community.” The North Suburban YMCA uses AmpliVox products in a number of settings, including summer camp, basketball tournaments, soccer games, gymnastics, dance, karate and group exercise classes, at the swimming pool, and for the Y's various presentations. “We’re pleased to be able to obtain such high-quality sound equipment from a local company”, said Howard Schultz, Executive Director/CEO of the NSYMCA. “Now, we’re extremely grateful for the support of AmpliVox’s “Speak Up For America!” gift. In difficult economic times, our Y relies heavily on private donations to keep our programs available to all.” Much of the “Speak Up For America!” donation gift will go towards the Y’s Strong Kids Scholarship Fund, which enables financially disadvantaged families to participate in Y programs. At the present time, one out of six people using the NSYMCA receives some level of financial support. Roth encourages other companies and individuals to support the Strong Kids Foundation, which will hold its Fifth Annual Fundraising Dinner on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. “We all have a responsibility to help make our community the best it can be,” says Roth. “With some creativity and commitment, we can all find ways to participate.” About AmpliVox AmpliVox ® Sound Systems products are made in the USA (with only a few exceptions), meet stringent UL standards, and come with an up to 6-year warranty.
