AUTOCUE LAUNCHES NEW BROADCAST MONITOR RANGE

NAB 2011, 11-14 April, Booth C8525: Autocue, veterans of teleprompter display technology, announces the launch and immediate availability of a unique range of broadcast quality reference monitors at NAB. The monitors are feature rich and outperform competing brands in many areas of specification while also being more price competitive.

Autocue CEO Frank Hyman said, “We have decades of experience in the design and manufacture of specialist teleprompter monitors, and so it is an obvious shift to apply our knowledge and resources to this area of broadcast display technology. We have created a range of high quality broadcast monitors that are every bit as good, or better, than established brands in this market, and are offering a much better price point to our customers.”

There are five different series of monitors in the range, with the “T-Series” (BM-AC24T) in particular poised to attract a lot of attention. Although not technically a “Grade 1” monitor by EBU standards, the 24-inch LED-backlit panel comes as close as any other Grade 1 monitor on the market. It is available for significantly less than $15,000 and a fraction of the cost of other Grade 1 solutions.

The base-level “E-Series”, the 3G-SDI “G-Series” and the quad-split “Q-Series” are all available in 17- and 24-inch. Rounding out the range is the larger 40- and 46-inch “S-Series”. Even the base-level E-Series offers functionality beyond its peers, such as waveform monitors, and all the monitors offer excellent resolution, contrast ratios, viewing angles and a wide variety of inputs to provide a class-leading solution for any live or post environment.
