BEAVERTON, Ore. — Biamp, a leading supplier of professional audiovisual solutions, is proud to once again serve as the title sponsor for the PDX Jazz Festival, Feb. 17-26. This year's 20th anniversary festival will be held in venues throughout Portland featuring a wide range of artists who are driving the evolution of jazz alongside Grammy® Award-winners and NEA Jazz Masters. The music begins on Thursday, February 16th with a special performance by the Bill Frisell Four, featuring Jonathan Blake, Gerald Clayton, and Gregory Tardy.
Opening weekend shows highlight the musical diversity of the festival. Attendees will enjoy music from Forbes Africa (September 2022) Top Titan of African Music, Angélique Kidjo; afro-beat big band The Budos Band; trumpet and piano virtuoso, Ambrose Akinmusire; 2022 PDX Jazz "First Call" honoree, George Colligan; renowned DJ and founder of New York City's legendary Turntables on The Hudson, Nickodemus; and more.
