DAVIE, FL – CHAUVET Professional calls the newest member of its widely celebrated STRIKE family the “STRIKE Array Ultra,” and the company is introducing it under the banner “Ultimate Impact Multiplied.”
Idle marketing claims? Hardly! The just-introduced single LED pod with a LED halo ring not only delivers ultimate impact, it also offers multiple ways to create dramatically different dynamic looks. At the center of the STRIKE Array Ultra is a single high-output LED pod surrounded by a 120-LED RGB halo ring, giving designers two distinct visual layers in one fixture.
Let’s start with its “ultra” impact. The IP65-rated blinder produces intensely bright stadium-level output from its RGBA-WW engine with a distinctive RGB ring. It also has Its high-CRI calibrated whites and a filter option deliver natural skin tones and rich color on camera, and broadcast optimized dimming.
In terms of “multiplying” design options, the STRIKE Array Ultra is in a class by itself. Thanks to its versatile mounting feature, the fixture can easily be scaled vertically or horizontally. The STRIKE Array Ultra can also be mounted with any other fixture in the STRIKE Array family in addition to the STRIKE Bolt 1C.
This opens the way to creating truly customizable LED blinder walls. So, a tower of STRIKE Array Ultras can be attached to horizonal rows of STRIKE Array 2C and STRIKE Array 4C fixtures. Or a design can feature a horizontal wall of alternating STRIKE Array Ultra and Strike Array 4C units. The design options are about as endless as the imagination!
Adding to its versatility, the STRIKE Array Ultra features a motorized pan — and when the fixture is flipped, that pan becomes a motorized tilt. Different units in a wall can pan or tilt separately, adding even greater variety to the looks on stage. Other features include an electronic strobe rate of 0 to 30Hz, standalone color mixing, four dimming modes, four dimming curves, built-in automated programs, and a stealth filter.
Measuring 19.13 x 17.79 x 11.02 inches (486 x 452 x 280 mm) with stylish black housing, the STRIKE Array Ultra looks good on rigs even when it is not in use. Of course, given the many ways this versatile fixture can make any design standout, it’s safe to say that it’s going to be running quite often.
