Christie and its distributors stage roadshows in China displaying projection, image processing and auto calibration solutions
SHANGHAI – Christie® is showcasing its leading-edge projectors, content management, image processing and automated calibration software solutions – ideal for numerous applications from cultural tourism to location-based entertainment – in a series of roadshows targeted at prospective clients from various industries across China.
To be held consecutively in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Changsha, Guangzhou and Beijing from July 22, these roadshows are organized in collaboration with Christie’s newly-appointed distributors Beijing Zhongqing Display Technology Co., Ltd (for Northern China), Shanghai Qingying Digital Technology Co. Ltd (for Eastern China), and Guangzhou Zhaocheng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd (for Southern China). They are responsible for distributing Christie’s 1DLP laser projectors and Christie Pandoras Box media and show control systems.
"In the absence of tradeshows and other regular touchpoints due to COVID-19, it is important for us to maintain close ties and networks with our partners and customers in China, while showcasing our latest technologies," said Michael Bosworth, executive vice president, Enterprise, Christie. "The roadshows will help us reaffirm our strong commitment to this marketplace, maintain our brand presence, and reach out to new customers. We look forward to working closely with our distributors to better serve the needs of Chinese customers."
Attendees can check out Christie’s state-of-the-art projection solutions, including the high-performance GS Series and HS Series 1DLP® laser projectors which offer powerful, reliable and cost-effective options for almost any high-use application. In China, both projector models have been widely deployed in government facilities, educational institutions, corporate spaces, as well as cultural tourism, and entertainment venues across the country.
Another highlight of the roadshows is a projection mapping demonstration on the iconic Christie wolf head, made possible using two Christie DWU1082-GS laser projectors, Christie Pandoras Box and Christie Mystique. In particular, attendees can experience how Christie Mystique, an automated camera-based alignment and recalibration solution, enables users to quickly install, align, calibrate and maintain multi-projector systems. Christie Mystique Lite, available for download at no additional cost, works with an inexpensive third-party webcam to warp, blend and align up to three supported Christie projectors.
Christie Mystique can also integrate directly with Christie Pandoras Box, an award-winning family of hardware and software tools for real-time video processing and show control. Pandoras Box products have been used at various events and installations in China, such as the Light & Shadow Cube 3D immersive visualization project in Qingdao, and the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup opening ceremony in Beijing.
