Designed for environments with high ambient light, the PN-A601 offers exceptionally high brightness (2,000 cd/m2) with energy savings and automatic brightness adjustments to meet virtually all lighting settings.
MAHWAH, NJ, November, 2011 -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, today introduced the new PN-A601. The 60" Class (60" Diagonal), LCD Monitor boasts an exceptionally high-brightness (2,000 cd/m2) and contrast ratio (up to 1,000,000:1) for excellent image quality designed for display in high ambient light environments.
Engineered for 24/7 certified commercial use, the PN-A601 stunningly portrays video, graphics, text and more using Sharp cutting edge display technology in full 1080p HD. This 60" Class (60" Diagonal) display is best suited for commercial environments such as office complexes, shopping malls, transportation hubs, college campuses and sports and entertainment facilities.
The high brightness and contrast elements provide extreme clarity and visibility of image display, even in window facing settings with high ambient light. The standard built-in brightness sensor automatically adjusts backlight brightness to accurately complement surrounding light levels, and save on energy output. The UV2A* technology used in the 60" Class (60" Diagonal) LCD monitor is extremely energy efficient, allowing for cost savings, as well as a full array LED backlight that simultaneously prevents light leakage.
“When it comes to marketing their businesses using digital signage, we know that our customers expect exceptional image quality,” said Stephen Brauner, senior manager, product planning for professional displays, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “The PN-A601 illustrates our ongoing commitment to utilizing industry leading technologies in order to provide our customers with a superior product.”
Engineered to meet the rigors of a wide range of commercial display and digital signage applications and uses, the PN-A601 is 24/7 certified, and is supported with a 3-year on-site limited warranty. The display can be installed in landscape or portrait mode. The Enlarge display mode allows for side by side installation of up to 25 monitors (in 5x5 format), enabling users to spread one image across all monitors and control output from just one PC, without the use of external processors.
Other features:
- Picture-in-Picture mode capable. This allows an AV-sourced image to be displayed within a PC-sourced image (or vice versa), while Picture-by-Picture mode puts images from AV and PC sources side by side for split-screen viewing.
- Mirror Display Mode. This allows the same image to be displayed on a daisy chain of PN-A601 monitors for the powerful impact of visual repetition.
Now in stock, this display is immediately available through Sharp’s network of dealers, distributors and VARs for $14,695 MSRP. The optional PN-ZR01 Control kit includes a remote control unit and a remote control sensor box. The sensor box can function as a supplementary brightness sensor.
The PN-A601 is ENERGY STAR® qualified, and conforms to the RoHS Directive restricting the use of hazardous substances.
